JAMIE HUBBARD

Partner

Jamie Hubbard is respected as a top strategic legal mind and focused trial lawyer. She enjoys tackling complex cases, sifting through the noise and zeroing in on the facts that matter. Her plain-speaking and common-sense approach appeals to jurors, who comment on Jamie’s relatability and how she effectively communicates her clients’ story. Above all, Jamie takes pride in connecting with and relating to clients and developing a client-centered case strategy.

Jamie began her career as a civil litigation associate at one of the top 10 law firms in the United States where she was mentored by some of the nation’s top lawyers, and played an important role in multi-national litigation involving fortune 500 companies. After her initial stint in private practice, Jamie spent nearly a decade working inside the federal courts advising judges on issues across the legal spectrum, carefully honing her legal research, writing and analysis skills, and assisting on nearly one hundred trials, including multiple complex business disputes and a first-of-its-kind environmental exportation prosecution. Jamie eventually moved to Denver to become the career law clerk for United States District Court Judge William J. Martinez, during which she learned the practice of law in Colorado from the inside out, getting to know both local attorneys and judges. She maintains positive relationships with court staff and is well respected by her former federal court colleagues.

After leaving the federal courts, Jamie joined one of Colorado’s top trial firms. At Haddon, Morgan and Foreman, Jamie was involved in defending hundreds of clients in both criminal and civil litigation. Jamie’s experience runs the gamut in both the nature of cases and the severity of the alleged wrongdoing, ranging from an organized crime indictment with more than 100 counts, to cases of alleged sexual misconduct, to misdemeanor and traffic cases. Jamie enjoys a diverse criminal practice and believes all people charged with a crime deserve the same care and attention.

Jamie balances her representation of criminal defendants with a multi-faceted civil litigation practice. She represents clients in civil securities fraud cases, contract disputes, and other business litigation. Jamie has significant experience in school discipline cases, including Title IX defense and school suspension/expulsion matters. Jamie also represents clients whose civil rights have been trampled by the government, with successes including a six-figure settlement for a client who suffered unnecessarily from a ruptured appendix while in the custody of the Department of Corrections.

Outside of work, Jamie enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter exploring Colorado and beyond. They love to travel and be outside, and spend much of the summer camping and bouncing around Colorado’s bluegrass festivals. Having watched her husband struggle to readjust to the civilian world after his service in the Army, Jamie devotes significant time and resources to veterans’ causes.
